Favorite Parts of My Home

In September of 2017 we moved to Utah from Rawlins, Wyoming. We had been in Wyoming for 5 years and it just made sense to come back to Utah to be closer to my family. Being four hours away was too much. And with two kids who love their Grandma and Papa it was hard to just rely on Skype. So we moved. We now live in my Grandparents old house. My Grandpa passed away in 2016 and my Grandma is in a memory care unit in an Assisted Living. Anyways moving down here has been one of the best decisions we have made. Moving with kids is not easy, but that’s another story for another time.

After moving we decided this was it. We are staying here forever. With that in mind I knew I wanted to decorate this house more and give it more of a homey (is that a word?) feel. I wanted to give you guys a peek at what I’ve done so far because I LOVE it so much.

We’ll start with my front door. I Love my No Soliciting sign. It reads: “No Soliciting. Seriously. Don’t ring the bell. Don’t make it weird.” And of course my custom wreath. It doesn’t get any better.

This is a vinyl at the end of our hallway. In 2016 alone we lost three family members. All to cancer. We have a lot of heaven in our home, and we have this awesome reminder we see everyday. ♡

This picture and vinyl are in our living room. I found the picture of the temple at the Quilted Bear in Ogden and immediately fell in love with it. It is the temple my husband and I got married in.

Our Family Picture wall. And the mirror with our name and established date that we got as a gift for our wedding. And I’m winning because the pictures are actually updated.

And last but not least our entryway 😍. I love my entryway. Every Family has a Story, Welcome to ours.
