Church, Favorite Stuff

Al Fox Carraway

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. You may have heard of it. So with that being said some of my posts will be religious. It’s part of who I am. You can skip over them or read them, I am not trying to convert anyone. Just writing about what I love.

It only made sense to start off with one of my FAVORITE people. Al Fox Carraway. I seriously love this lady. I have read both of her books, and got to hear her speak AND meet her and get a hug and a picture! You may not know her by her name, but you may recognize the title of her first book: More Than a Tattooed Mormon.

I had heard of her at first from Facebook in passing. I didn’t read the article, for whatever reason. And then in 2016 is when I actually bought her first book. She had a internet signing and I thought it would be awesome to have a signed copy. I read her book in a week. Seeing as I have two kids that’s pretty fast.

Her book was amazing. After reading her story of how she joined the Church and her struggles I knew I could do and be better. And when I heard that her and her husband had wrote a book together of course I had to read that too. That one I “read” in four and a half hours. I say read in quotations because I actually listened to the audio book. Amazing marriage advice.

On December 10th last year me and my husband got to go listen to her speak! Which was amazing! And then after I told my husband that I want to try to go meet her and maybe get a picture. By the time we got up by the stage there was already a line but we decided we would chance it. And I’m so glad we did because I got to meet her! And hug her! I was so excited it’s like I forgot how to talk. How can you not LOVE her smile? It’s contagious.
